A traditional dance from the lands of Miranda do Douro, with religious elements, warriors and dance rituals, accompanied with sounds of bagpipes, box, bass drum and also castanets.
This one is interpreted by the group "Os Pauliteiros de Miranda", one of the main attractions of the transmontano northeast, that represent local historical moments through the "dance of the sticks", formerly denominated by "dance of swords".
This group had the opportunity to travel the country from north to south and islands with numerous participations in television programs. It also has several shows in neighboring Spain, as well as in France, Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Cuba and Macao.
